PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates are making some changes in their starting rotation, skipping 's scheduled start on Saturday against the Reds and 's slated start on Monday at Philadelphia.
Right-hander Drew Hutchinson, who was recently recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis, will get Kuhl's start on Saturday, and right-hander , who's coming off the disabled list, will take Taillon's place against the Phillies.
"It's based on innings," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. "That is the case for both Kuhl and Taillon.

"We chose Hutchinson because threw three innings on Wednesday night against the Cardinals. Williams and Hutchinson were the two we were considering. , we still have in the bullpen."
And Glasnow, the Pirates' top prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, will remain in the 'pen for the time being.
"We want to give him an opportunity to pitch in a more controlled situation," Hurdle said. "Whether it be two innings or you go ahead and double switch and give him the opportunity to pitch three. But maybe some shorter looks initially to fine-tune things."
On another pitching note, right-hander remains sidelined with a sore right shoulder.
"I don't think it's too serious," Schugel said. "Hopefully I'll start throwing here in the next few days and be back sooner rather than later."
