The Texas Rangers Youth Academy will host Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run program from May 4, 2026, to May 11, 2026. Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a free program for boys and girls designed to test and measure skills essential to baseball and softball.
Participants compete by age category for the opportunity to advance from skills testing to a Team Championship, and ultimately to the National Finals, held at the MLB World Series. Finalists will travel to and have the chance to compete during the 2026 World Series.

Pitch, Hit & Run is open to athletes ages 7-14. Participants will compete in one of four age divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, or 13-14, with the age cut-off set on Nov. 15, 2026.
The program kickoff dates vary by division:
- May 4 – 14U & 8U Baseball
- May 6 – 12U & 10U Baseball
- May 11 – Softball (all age groups)
Rangers Youth Academy athlete Aaliyah Marquez advanced to the 14U Pitch, Hit & Run Finals in 2025, earning a trip to the World Series in Toronto. She posted a third-place finish among the five finalists from the 14U Softball division after advancing out of the Team Championship round, which featured hundreds of competitors from across the country.

Budget University returns to the Academy

- What is it: Budget University empowers individuals to create generational wealth and achieve financial independence. This workshop is designed for high school students and their parents and will cover stock market concepts and investing, 401(k), life insurance, real estate, budgeting and professional development.
- When it is: Saturday, April 25, from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Registration open for Nike All Sports Camp

- What is it: In partnership with the DFW Nike Community Ambassadors, the Youth Academy will host a free multi-sport camp. Designed for ages 7-12, young athletes will rotate through stations featuring various sports activities, including baseball, softball, flag football and soccer.
- When it is: Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. – noon.
