Brewers Name Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month for June

Ragsdale Named Player of the Month; Knoth Selected as Pitcher of the Month

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have named outfielder Josiah Ragsdale as their Minor League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher Josh Knoth as Minor League Pitcher of the Month for June.

Additionally, infielder Ricki Moneys was named the organization’s Complex League Player of the Month and left-handed pitcher Joan Peña earned Complex League Pitcher of the Month.

Ragsdale, 22, batted .420/.540/.797 (29-for-69) with 9 doubles, a triple, 5 HR, 15 RBI, 26 runs and 7 stolen bases in 18 games between Class-A Wisconsin (17g) and Double-A Biloxi (1g) in June.

Ragsdale led the Midwest League in batting average (.418), on-base percentage (.524) and runs (25) in June. He also ranked among league leaders in slugging percentage (2nd, .761), OPS (2nd, 1.285), extra-base hits (2nd, 14), doubles (3rd, 9), hits (5th, 28) and total bases (5th, 51), earning a promotion to Biloxi on June 30.

Selected by the Brewers in the seventh round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft out of Boston College, Ragsdale hit his first career Double-A home run in his lone game for the Shuckers during the month on 6/30 vs. Chattanooga.

Knoth, 20, went 2-0 with a 3.74 ERA (21.2ip, 9er) and 20 strikeouts against just 5 walks in 5 starts for Class-A Wisconsin in June. He worked 5.0 innings in each of his final 2 starts of the month on 6/24 vs. Cedar Rapids and 6/30 at Peoria, his longest outings since his return from missing the 2025 season due to injury.

Selected by Milwaukee in Competitive Balance Round A (33rd overall) of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of Patchogue-Medford (NY) High School, Knoth tied for the Midwest League lead in starts in June (5) and ranked among leaders in WHIP (5th, 1.11), ERA (7th, 3.74) and opponent batting average (7th, .238).

Moneys, 17, recorded a .406 on-base percentage and a .513 slugging percentage for a .919 OPS in 21 games for Rookie DSL Brewers Gold in June. He hit 11 extra-base hits, recording 5 doubles, 3 triples and 3 HR.

Signed by the Brewers as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in January 2026, Moneys led DSL Brewers Gold for the month in RBI (18), slugging percentage (.513), triples (3), extra-base hits (11) and total bases (41) and tied for the team lead in doubles (5).

Peña, 18, posted a 2.66 ERA (20.1ip, 6er) over 5 appearances/2 starts for the Rookie ACL Brewers in June. He recorded 21 strikeouts and held opponents to a .197 batting average (15-for-76).

Signed by Milwaukee as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in January 2025, Pena was a 2025 Dominican Summer League midseason All-Star in his first professional season.
