LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled outfielder Andy Pages and right-handed pitcher Kyle Hurt, selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Eduardo Salazar, optioned right-handed pitcher Ricky Vanasco and left-handed pitcher Nick Ramirez and designated outfielder Taylor Trammell for assignment to make room for Salazar on the 40-man roster.

Pages, 23, joins the Dodgers for the first time in his career after hitting .371 with five homers and 15 RBI in 15 games with Oklahoma City. In 2023, he played in 34 games between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City, recording a .907 OPS with 12 doubles and three homers before having to miss the rest of the season with left shoulder surgery. The No. 93 overall prospect according to MLB.com has amassed 94 homers and 299 RBI in 416 minor league games with a .908 OPS. He was originally signed by the Dodgers as an international free agent on May 1, 2018 out of Havana, Cuba.

Hurt, 24, returns for his second stint with the big club this season. In his first stint, he made two appearances, allowing one run in 4.2 innings and striking out three. In two seasons with the Dodgers, he has posted a 1.93 ERA with six strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Prior to being recalled, he made two starts with Oklahoma City, striking out eight batters in 4.0 innings. The 2023 Branch Rickey Minor League Pitcher of the Year is a combined 11-13 with a 4.67 ERA in four minor league seasons. He was acquired from the Marlins on February 12, 2021 along with left-handed pitcher Alex Vesia in exchange for right-hander Dylan Floro.

Salazar, 25, will be added to the Major League roster after posting a 1-0 mark with a 2.57 ERA in three Triple-A starts this season. The Cumana, Venezuela native pitched for the Cincinnati Reds in 2023, allowing 11 runs in 12.1 innings while notching his first Major League win on June 6 against the Dodgers. He has pitched in 144 games (79 starts) in his minor league career, going 24-25 with a 4.33 ERA and 432 strikeouts in 484 innings. He signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on November 16, 2023.

Vanasco, 25, made his Major League debut last night, firing two scoreless innings with one strikeout. Prior to joining the Dodgers, he made four appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing one run in 4.0 innings with eight strikeouts. He has been in the minor leagues seven seasons, posting a 10-14 record with a 3.44 ERA with 287 strikeouts in 212 innings. He was acquired by trade from the Texas Rangers in exchange for left-handed pitcher Luis Valdez on June 1, 2023.

Ramirez, 34, tossed 2.0 shutout innings last night, recording a strikeout in the Dodgers 6-4 loss to Washington. It was his second appearance with the team after a scoreless inning on Sunday. The Southern California native has been in the Major Leagues parts of four seasons with Detroit (2019-20), San Diego (2021) and New York – AL (2023), going a combined 7-7 with a 3.97 ERA in 98 games. He was originally a fourth-round selection in the 2011 First Year Player Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers out of Cal State Fullerton.

Trammell, 26, went 0-for-2 last night and was hitless in six turns with the Dodgers. He has played 121 Major League games over three seasons with Seattle (2021-23) and Los Angeles (2024), hitting a combined .165 with 15 homers and 39 RBI. He was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2016 as the 35th overall pick out of Mount Paran Christian High School.
