SAN FRANCISCO – The Giants and right-handed pitcher Adrian Houser agreed to terms on a two-year Major League contract that also includes a club option for the 2028 season.

Houser, 33, is coming off one of his best seasons in the Majors. After beginning 2025 in Triple-A with Round Rock (Texas), Houser signed with Chicago-AL on May 20 and started 11 games with the White Sox, posting a 2.10 ERA (16er, 68.2ip) before being traded to Tampa Bay at the trade deadline, where he spent the remainder of the season. Overall, the right-hander went 8-5 with a 3.31 ERA (46er, 125.0ip), 92 strikeouts, and a 1.28 WHIP in 21 games (all starts) last year. His 2.3 Fangraphs WAR was also the best of his career.

The majority of Houser’s MLB career has been spent in the rotation, with 125 of his 173 games coming as a starting pitcher. He is 40-44 with a 4.06 ERA (331er, 733.2ip), 576 strikeouts, and a 1.36 WHIP over his nine-year MLB career with Milwaukee (2015, 2018-2023), New York-NL (2024), Chicago-AL (2025), and Tampa Bay (2025).

The Tahlequah, OK native was originally a second-round pick by Houston in 2011 out of Locust Grove High School (OK).
