Major League Baseball today announced the schedule for the 2026 Postseason, which is slated to begin with each of the four Wild Card Series presented by AbbVie on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network on Tuesday, September 29th. Game One of the 2026 World Series presented by Capital One on FOX is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd at the home of the League Champion with the superior 2026 regular season record.
NBC’s coverage of the Wild Card Series marks the return of Postseason baseball to the network for the first time since the 2000 ALCS. The opening games of all four AL and NL Division Series presented by Booking.com are scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd. Overall, the Division Series is scheduled to run from Saturday, October 3rd through Saturday, October 10th, with potential Game Fives on Friday, October 9th (NLDS) and Saturday (ALDS). FOX or FS1 along with FOX Deportes will combine to cover the NLDS, while TNT Sports will simulcast the ALDS on TBS, truTV and HBO MAX.
The National League Championship Series will begin on Sunday, October 11th and will be televised by FOX or FS1 along with FOX Deportes. The American League Championship Series is set to start on Monday, October 12th, and will be broadcast across TBS, truTV and HBO MAX. A potential Game Seven of the NLCS is scheduled for Monday, October 19th, while an ALCS Game Seven would be played on Tuesday, October 20th.
If a Game Seven is necessary to determine the 2026 World Series Champions, then it would be played on Saturday, October 31st. The scheduled off days during the World Series are Sunday, October 25th and Thursday, October 29th (based on a necessary Game Six). FOX Sports and FOX Deportes will present live coverage of the World Series for the 29th time.
ESPN Radio will provide live national coverage of all 2026 MLB Postseason games, beginning with the Wild Card Series presented by AbbVie.
In addition to coverage by FOX Deportes, 2026 Postseason games will also be telecast in Spanish on Universo and Univision, while Univision Radio will provide Spanish language audio coverage. The 2026 Postseason will be distributed by MLB media rightsholders in 16 different languages to fans in more than 200 countries and territories.
All Postseason games telecast on TNT Sports platforms, FOX and FS1 will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.
MLB Network will air extensive studio coverage throughout the Postseason across the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, the Emmy-nominated MLB Central and MLB Now, and Intentional Talk, MLB Network’s longest-running talk show.
