Rosters announced for MLB High School All-American Game taking place in Dyersville, Iowa

Seventh Annual Game To Be Broadcast LIVE on MLB Network at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT on August 12th

Major League Baseball, USA Baseball and Area Code Baseball today announced the rosters for the 2026 High School All-American Game. The seventh annual game will be played in Dyersville, Iowa, on August 12th and will be televised LIVE on MLB Network at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT.

This year’s premier showcase game features 40 players, all graduating high school in 2027. The roster includes players from 16 different states and Puerto Rico and showcases athletes who have participated in MLB Develops events such as the Breakthrough Series and Hank Aaron Invitational; the Area Code Games in Long Beach, California; members of USA Baseball’s 18U National Team Training Camp and more. Eight players on the 40-man roster have participated in MLB Develops, 21 are on Area Code Upperclass Games rosters and 17 have participated in USA Baseball national team or development programming. This year marks the first time the contest will be broadcast live on MLB Network, with Paul Severino, Dan Plesac, Jim Callis and Sande Charles on the call. The game will also stream on MLB.TV, MLB.com and the MLB App.

Of the 16 different states represented on the 2026 roster, Texas leads the way with eight representatives. California and Florida follow closely with seven players each, while Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana and Tennessee all boast multiple players on the roster. Matt Meeker, a local product from Waukee, Iowa, will represent his home state in this year’s game. Brady Cunningham, who won the 2026 High School Home Run Derby in Philadelphia, was named to the 2026 roster alongside Kinon Bastian, Sullivan Reed, Lubin Rincon and Grant Westphal, who all also competed in the High School Home Run Derby. Bastian is one of eight MLB Develops alumni on the roster and one of four players to participate in the trio of the Breakthrough Series, DREAM Series and Hank Aaron Invitational (also: Devyn Downs, Jace Duckett and Carter Hadnot). USA Baseball 15U National Team alumni Dariel Carrion and Samir Mohammed are also featured on the 40-man roster.

The two teams at this year’s High School All-American Game will be led by Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Thome and nine-time Rawlings Gold Glove winner Torii Hunter, who will each serve as managers. Thome and Hunter will be joined on staff by an accomplished group of former Major League players and coaches alongside MLB Club Scouts. Additionally, the entire coaching staff for this year’s USA Baseball 18U National Team will serve as coaches. The full High School All-American Game staff is as follows:
