Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers (30-32) will return to Globe Life Field on Friday for a three-game homestand against the Cleveland Guardians (36-27), beginning Friday, June 5 at 7:15 p.m.
Texas will sport its Nike City Connect uniforms for the Frost™ Friday series opener against Cleveland, with the first 10,000 fans in attendance of that night’s game receiving a free Rangers Captain Plush Keychain presented by 7-Eleven.
Prior to Friday’s contest, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will recognize the five college students selected to participate in this year’s Charley Pride Fellowship presented by the Parrish Charitable Foundation. Now in its sixth year, the Charley Pride Fellowship program aims to provide aspiring young professionals with a 10-week paid internship touching multiple departments within the Texas Rangers front office.
On Saturday, June 6, the Rangers will invite fans to Globe Life Field to experience an evening of lively music and colorful festivities as part of Mexican Heritage Night presented by State Farm. Tickets to Saturday night’s game purchased through rangers.com/communitynights will come with a limited-edition Los Rangers jersey.
Also on Saturday, Rangers Families, consisting of players’ wives, fiancées, and significant others, will host their annual Mystery Ball Fundraiser in front of the Grand Slam Team Shop, selling concealed bags filled with baseballs autographed by current or former Rangers players and other MLB legends. Proceeds from the event will benefit Gigi’s Playhouse Dallas/Fort Worth, part of a network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers that provides therapeutic, educational, and career training programs to 35,000+ families.
To round out this weekend’s brief homestand, the Rangers will give away a Brandon Nimmo Bull Riding Bobblehead presented by Toyota to the first 10,000 fans in attendance of Sunday’s series finale against Cleveland. The club will also celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day presented by Texas Lottery at the ballpark on Sunday afternoon, as fans who purchase tickets through rangers.com/communitynights will receive a custom Teacher Appreciation-Rangers cap.
Friday night’s series opener will stream on Apple TV, the Saturday, June 6 contest will air on FOX, and the Sunday, June 7 matchup will air on Rangers Sports Network presented by Progressive (RSN).
