ST. LOUIS -- Beginning with Friday's game against the D-backs, fans at Busch Stadium will be able to enjoy greater connectivity through a public WiFi system that was recently installed at the ballpark.
To access the system, fans will need to select the "CardinalsWiFi" service set identifier, provide the name of their cellular carrier, and agree to the terms and conditions. Once those steps are completed, the device will have access to the network.
The WiFi system will also be accessible at Ballpark Village's AT&T Rooftop area and the Budweiser Brewhouse rooftop deck. The Busch II infield at Ballpark Village will be added soon.
The installation, which took more than 10,000 man hours to complete, was part of a larger initiative by Major League Baseball Advanced Media to bring WiFi and improved cellular connectivity to all 30 big league ballparks. The multiyear project will cost approximately $300 million; the Cardinals announced that their installation is the largest to date for MLBAM.
