Claudio chosen as Rangers Pitcher of the Year

Left-hander will be honored at awards dinner as part of Fan Fest

ARLINGTON -- Left-handed reliever has been selected as the Rangers Pitcher of the Year, the club announced on Friday.
He will be honored at the 2018 Dr. Pepper Texas Rangers Awards Dinner, which takes place on Friday, Jan.19 at Gilley's Dallas.
Fan Fest presented by Dasani will take place the next day at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. CT. Tickets for Fan Fest will officially go on sale on Monday, Dec. 4 at texasrangers.com/fanfest.
Claudio earned the award by going 4-1 with a 2.50 ERA and 11 saves in 70 games. He is the ninth reliever to win the award since 1973 and the first left-hander.
Fan Fest Highlights:
• Autograph sessions with current Rangers players with individuals signing in the Capital One Club, Hyundai Club, and Jack Daniel's Club and interactive question-and-answer sessions with Rangers executives, players and announcers in the Cholula All-You-Can-Eat Porch.
• On-field events to include running the bases, home run derby in left field, and photo opportunities (weather permitting), free tours of the Rangers clubhouse and dugout, free play in the Rangers Kids Zone and autographs by Rangers Captain.
• Photo stage with current and former Rangers players.
• Food and beverages on sale at The Shortstop Grill, Rebecca Creek Saloon, and other concession stands.
Admission to the 2018 Texas Rangers Fan Fest is $10 for adults, $8 for season ticket holders, and $5 for children 13 and under. Full details and rules for the Autograph Fast Pass are posted on texasrangers.com/fanfest. Parking at Globe Life Park is free for the event.
