ARLINGTON -- The Rangers have a busy social schedule for the next six weeks, including Play Ball, their Triple Play Gameshow Spectacular and the annual Do It For Durrett Bash.
Play Ball: The Rangers will host a free Play Ball event from 10 a.m. to noon CT on Saturday at the Lawn at Reunion, which is located in downtown Dallas. A second event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark next to Globe Life Park.
Children of all ages will receive instruction in hitting, pitching, baserunning, catching and other skills from Rangers coaches and alumni. All attendees will receive a plastic bat and ball, as well as a ticket voucher for a future Rangers home game. 
Triple Play Spectacular: The 2016 Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show Spectacular will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at the Hilton Anatole Dallas. Proceeds of this year's event will go toward the building and funding of the new Texas Rangers Major League Baseball Youth Academy at the Mercy Street project.
The theme for the event is "Fields of Dreams," featuring live and silent auctions. The highlight of the evening is the Rangers players competing against each other in a pair of game shows. This year's competitions will be the annual fan favorite Fielders Feud and the return of Minute to Win It.
Eric Nadel Birthday Benefit: Local musical and singing favorites Josh Weathers and Daphne Willis are the headliners this year at Eric Nadel's 5th annual Birthday Benefit. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at the Kessler Theater in Dallas.
Proceeds from the Birthday Benefit go to Focus On Teens, which has helped address the immediate needs of more than 2,000 homeless teens since its founding in 2014. It has presented suicide and drug prevention programs to hundreds more and help it serve homeless teens who otherwise would go hungry, drop out of school and possibly never know that there are people who care about them and their future.
The Hope Home, Weathers' school-orphanage project in India, will share in the proceeds. "The Hope Home" is intended to house girls who otherwise would likely be victims of sex slavery, providing them shelter, food and education.
Do It For Durrett: The Do It for Durrett Texas' Got Talent is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at the Cholula Porch at Globe Life Park. The event will mix baseball and music from familiar names and the general public.

There will be judges and prizes, too, with Texas country star Randy Rogers and Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis and Derek Holland among the judges. Chuck Morgan, the voice of the Rangers, will emcee the event.
There will also be live and silent auctions, as well as the auctioning off dates with Holland and Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields.
The Do It For Durrett Foundation raises money for families impacted by sudden loss. This year's event will benefit the family of Julian Madison.
Madison, who was known to many as a DJ for the Cowboys on rally days at AT&T Stadium, was studying for his PhD in counseling when he died suddenly last year at the age of 39. Madison and his wife Gabrielle were in the process of adopting two children. Gabrielle moved forward with the adoption of Alma (6) and King (2).
Tickets are available at www.doitfordurrett.com for $45. The general-admission ticket includes dinner as well as an event T-shirt. A limited number of VIP tickets for $125 are also available. Tables of eight can also be purchased for $350. There will also be a limited number of VIP tables for $850. All remaining tickets sold at the door will be $50. VIP tickets include early access to a happy hour, preferred seating as well as drink tickets at the event.
