Rangers' game in Atlanta postponed Tuesday

Gonzalez will start first of two Wednesday; Hamels will take nightcap

The Rangers and Braves will play a split doubleheader on Tuesday at SunTrust Park, with Game 1 starting at 12:35 p.m. CT.

ATLANTA -- 's Rangers debut will have to wait one more day thanks to a rain delay that washed out the second of three games between Texas and the Braves at SunTrust Park on Tuesday.
The teams will play a split doubleheader on Wednesday, with first pitch for Game 1 at 12:35 p.m. CT and Game 2 following that night at 6:35 p.m.
The Rangers are chasing a playoff berth and are1 1/2 games back of the Twins for the second American League Wild Card spot. Minnesota lost to the Rays on Tuesday night.
Gonzalez is 3-1 with a 3.31 ERA in his last eight starts and was acquired in a trade from the White Sox on Aug. 31. Gonzalez will start the first game on Wednesday with Cole Hamels toeing the rubber for Game 2.
It is Rangers' first rainout of the season and their first on the road since April 17, 2013, against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. It snapped a streak of 386 consecutive road games without a rainout.
