Rangers ink 17 to one-year contracts

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Rangers have announced the signing of 17 players on their 40-man roster to one-year contracts for 2016. The club has just three unsigned players in camp.

The 17 players are Hanser Alberto, Delino DeShields, Sam Dyson, Andrew Faulkner, Sam Freeman, Joey Gallo, Chi Chi Gonzalez, Luke Jackson, Keone Kela, Pat Kivlehan, Phil Klein, Jose Leclerc, Nomar Mazara, Rougned Odor, Anthony Ranaudo, Ryan Rua, and Connor Sadzeck.

The three unsigned players are pitchers Alex Claudio, Nick Martinez and Yohander Mendez.

The Rangers would like to have all players under contract by the first Cactus League game on Wednesday. Any player with less than three years of experience who does not agree to terms can have their 2016 salary set by the club.
