Here's your guide to Rangers Spring Training

ARLINGTON -- Manager Chris Woodward is ready to take charge of the Rangers as they get ready to open Spring Training next week in Surprise, Ariz.

Woodward was named the club's 19th full-time manager on Nov. 2, replacing Jeff Banister. Woodward played 12 seasons in the Major Leagues as a utility infielder and he spent the last three as the Dodgers' third-base coach.

The morning workouts can be accessed on the back fields. In the past, the gates have opened at 10 a.m.

Feb. 23 vs. Royals at Surprise Stadium, 2:05 p.m. CT

First TV game
Feb. 28 vs. Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium, FOX Sports Southwest, 2:10 p.m. CT

One other notable game
The National League champion Dodgers will be at Surprise Stadium at 9:05 p.m. CT on March 18 to face the Rangers. This is their only visit to face the Rangers.

Last game in Arizona
March 24 vs. Royals, 2:05 p.m. CT

Any exhibitions before the regular season?
March 24 at Nashville Sounds, 1:05 p.m. CT. The Rangers are playing a split-squad doubleheader on March 24, but most of the big league team is expected to be in Nashville. The Rangers will then play two exhibition games against the Indians at Globe Life Park on March 25-26.
