WEST SACRAMENTO -- Due to a shipping delay caused by weather, Rays fans won’t be able to pick up their “Flappy Boi” bobbleheads, which depict the club’s jovial mascot Stinger, on Saturday against the Orioles at Tropicana Field as originally scheduled.
But fret not, Rays fans with tickets to Saturday’s 6:10 p.m. ET game. The team has something special in store.
The first 10,000 fans to enter The Trop on Saturday will receive a Flappy Boi T-shirt as well as a voucher to redeem a free ticket to a Rays game against the Athletics in September, the Rays announced on Monday. Fans can choose which of the Rays’ Sept. 15 (6:40 p.m. ET), Sept. 16 (6:40 p.m. ET) and Sept. 17 (1:10 p.m. ET) games against the A’s they would like to attend.
Each voucher is valid for one ticket and one Flappy Boi bobblehead. The deadline to claim tickets with a unique voucher code is Sept. 8.
While attending their game of choice in September, fans can visit one of three pickup locations to scan their tickets and collect their bobbleheads, with the ticket serving both as game admission and a voucher to redeem the Flappy Boi bobblehead.
