Rays sell out 12th straight home opener

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The Rays announced on Thursday that the 2017 season opener, against the Yankees Sunday at Tropicana Field, is sold out.
The sellout is the 12th consecutive for the Rays, which ranks as the longest home opener sellout streak among Tampa Bay's major sports franchises.
The season opener, slated for 1:10 p.m. ET, will be televised in the Tampa Bay area by FOX Sports Sun, and nationally on ESPN. Tickets are available for the remaining two games in the season-opening series against the Yankees, which will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday and start at 7:10 p.m. ET
