Rafael Devers showed on Tuesday night exactly why he's revered as one of the best offensive prospects in the Minor Leagues, as the Red Sox's top prospect collected five hits including a pair of clutch home runs to power Double-A Portland in a come-from-behind, 12-11 win over Hartford.
Devers, ranked 15th on MLBPipeline.com's list of the Top 100 prospects, went 5-for-5 in the contest, tallying three singles along with his two home runs. It was both the third career five-hit game and the fourth multi-homer game for the 20-year-old, who finished with four runs scored and RBIs.

Devers' line-drive single to left field in his first at-bat helped fuel a four-run second inning for the Sea Dogs after Hartford scored six times in the bottom of the first. He added another single in the third, this time turning on the ball to right field.
After that, however, the Yard Goats had trouble keeping the left-handed hitting third baseman in the ballpark.
Devers provided Portland with its first lead of the day in the fourth inning, hitting a three-run home run to the opposite field to break an 8-8 tie and cap a five-run frame for the Sea Dogs.
Hartford would rally for three runs over the next two innings to tie the game, setting the stage for another round of Devers' heroics.
Leading off the sixth inning, with the game knotted at 11, Devers put Portland back on top with a tape-measure solo shot to right field that landed deep in the upper deck. It was Devers' fifth home run of the season, and he's now gone deep four times in his past four games.

Devers added an infield single to shortstop in the eighth inning to put a bow on a perfect night at the plate that also improved his batting average by 51 points, from .273 to .324. Overall, Devers has 10 extra-base hits and 12 RBIs in 18 games for Portland.
