The Red Sox will start building the foundation for what they hope will be a repeat championship season next week under the warm sun in Fort Myers, Fla.
Most of the cast is back from a team that set a franchise record with 108 wins in the regular season and rolled through the postseason at an 11-3 mark. Here is a primer for Spring Training.

Can fans attend workouts?
All Spring Training workouts at Fenway South are open to the public beginning Feb. 13. Typically, the players take the field sometime between 9:30-10 a.m. ET, and are on the field until at least noon.

Any additional exhibitions before the regular season?
For the second consecutive Spring Training, the Red Sox and Cubs will play a couple of tuneups against each other just before the start of the regular season. Last year, the games were at JetBlue Park. This time, Boston will visit Sloan Park, the Cubs' spring home in Mesa, Ariz., for games on March 25 (9:05 p.m. ET) and March 26 (3:05 p.m. ET).
