Amir Garrett has been placed on the bereavemenet list, the Reds, announced on Thursday, which will keep him out at least three days and at most seven. The club will make a corresponding roster move ahead of Friday's game against the Marlins, which opens a six-game homestand.

Off to a stellar start to 2018, Garrett has compiled a 2.04 ERA in 17 2/3 innings out of the bullpen. All but two of his 14 apperances have been scoreless.

Interim Reds manager has said Garrett could become a rotation piece down the road.
