PITTSBURGH -- The Reds placed right-hander Raisel Iglesias on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Tuesday, with an impingement in his right shoulder.
Right-hander Tim Adleman was called up from Triple-A Louisville to start against the Pirates on Sunday at PNC Park, allowing two runs over six-plus innings in the Reds' 6-5, 11-inning win. To make room on the 40-man roster for Adleman, the Reds transferred catcher Kyle Skipworth (right ankle surgery) to the 60-day disabled list.
Iglesias, 26, felt a "pinch" in the shoulder while throwing a bullpen session on Friday. It's unclear at this point how long he'll be sidelined.

"It looks like it's an impingement inflammation," Reds manager Bryan Price said. "We will know a lot more when we see him on Monday. However, it doesn't sound like it's going to be a long-tenured stint on the DL."

• Reds right-hander Homer Bailey suffered a slight setback in his rehab from Tommy John surgery. On Tuesday, for Double-A Pensacola vs. Jackson, Bailey threw 78 pitches over four innings, allowing five runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks. He struck out three and hit a batter. Not helping him was Pensacola's defense, which committed five errors.
"Homer had a little zinger in the back of his elbow, nothing to do with his ulnar collateral ligament," Price said. "Just a little inflammation, not during his outing, but in the aftermath. He was checked by Dr. Timothy Kremchek, and it was just some inflammation. We're going to let it cool down and not throw for a few days and then get him back going, but he's improved over the last day or two. I don't anticipate it being a long stint of inactivity."
