Minor Leaguer Hudson traded to Angels for cash

CINCINNATI -- The Reds traded Minor League catcher Joe Hudson to the Angels for cash, the team announced on Saturday. Hudson hit .235 in 16 games and 51 at bats for Triple-A Louisville this season, with three doubles, eight walks and three RBIs. Hudson was selected in the sixth round of the 2012 Draft by Cincinnati, and he was in his first season with Louisville after spending the last two years with Double-A Pensacola, where he hit three home runs and drove in 32 runs during that span.
Getting traded wasn’t anything I expected, but here we are. Thank you @Reds for giving me a shot. Thank you to every coach, trainer, scout, coordinator, clubbie, front office individual, and everyone else for your time. But, I will miss the boys the most! Good luck to you all.
