MLB and Clubs to Honor Service Members During Armed Forces Day Weekend 2026

Major League Baseball and its Clubs will demonstrate the sport’s appreciation of military service men, women, and their families this weekend in commemoration of Armed Forces Day. Through MLB Together, MLB and its Clubs will celebrate service members, veterans, and military families in ballparks, through charitable giving and continuing several partnership activations in order to build greater connection and commitment to the cause.

ON-FIELD:

  • One-of-a-kind, service-inspired caps specially designed by New Era featuring Club logos will be worn by all players, managers, coaches, and other on-field personnel on Friday, May 15th, Saturday, May 16th (Armed Forces Day) and Sunday, May 17th.
  • A matching pair of camouflage Stance socks is available for each player.
  • Commemorative base jewels and lineup cards featuring a special Armed Forces Day logo also will be used.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION:

  • 100% of the licensed royalties from the sale of Armed Forces Day On-Field Authentic Collection apparel is donated to MLB Charities to support military programs. MLB donations in 2026 will benefit Blue Star Families, SkyHope, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Travis Manion Foundation, United Service Organizations (USO), and Wounded Warrior Project.

ADDITIONAL MILITARY COMMUNITY SUPPORT:

  • With over 1 million Veterans expected to transition in the next five years, ACP addresses the critical issue of underemployment by connecting participants with experienced professionals for one-on-one mentoring and tailored career guidance.
  • To meet this growing need, ACP is seeking volunteers for virtual mentorship roles. This unique opportunity allows people to provide life-changing career advice remotely, helping the military community translate their skills into fulfilling, long-term professional success.
  • Youth from TAPS families will once again participate in a clinic on the showcase diamond at Capital One All-Star Village during MLB All-Star Week in Philadelphia. Capital One All-Star Village is a four-day interactive baseball experience in the heart of the MLB All-Star host city.
