August 30th, 2016
Franchy Cordero hit his 15th triple of the season between Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore and San Antonio to tie Luis Salazar's Padres' Minor League system record of 15 triples in a season set in 1980 with Triple-A Hawaii.

Four members of the Padres' Triple-A El Paso affiliate were named to the All-Pacific Coast League team on Monday, while a Double-A San Antonio center fielder tied a 35-year-old, Padres' Minor League record.
Meanwhile, right-handed pitcher Cal Quantrill, the Padres' top Draft pick in June, is joining Class A Fort Wayne, while the Arizona Rookie Padres ended their season with a 5-4 win. El Paso returned home to lose to Las Vegas, leaving their magic number to win a second straight PCL Pacific Southern Division title at four with seven games to play.
Right fielder Hunter Renfroe, center fielder , second baseman and catcher were the four Chihuahuas named to the All-PCL team. Renfroe and Asuaje were also members of the midseason PCL All-Star team.
Margot, 21, who is ranked the Padres' No. 2 prospect by MLB Pipeline, is hitting .307 with 21 doubles, 12 triples, six homers, 55 RBIs and 28 steals. He ranks first in the PCL in triples and runs scored (94), third in hits (153), fifth in steals and 10th in batting average. He has a .354 on-base percentage and a .434 slugging percentage for a .787 OPS. He also leads the PCL in outfield assists with 19.
Renfroe, 24, who is ranked the Padres' No. 3 prospect, is hitting .306 with 34 doubles, five triples and 28 homers for 101 RBIs. He leads the PCL in extra-base hits (67); is second in hits (156), homers and RBIs; tied for second in doubles; third in runs scored (91); fourth in slugging percentage (.557), and 10th in OPS (.894).
Asuaje, 24, ranked the 21st prospect in the Padres' system, is hitting .322 with 30 doubles, 10 triples, seven homers and 65 RBIs. Asuaje has a .378 on-base percentage. He leads the PCL in hits (165), ranks second in runs scored (93), is tied for second in triples and ranks fourth in batting average.
Hedges, 24, is no longer considered a prospect because he spent most of the 2015 season with the Padres. He is hitting .316 with 19 homers and 79 RBIs despite missing almost two months following surgery to remove the hamate bone in his left hand in April. He has a .346 on-base percentage, a .582 slugging percentage and a .928 OPS. If he had enough at-bats to qualify, Hedges would rank fourth in the PCL in OPS, second in slugging percentage and sixth in batting average.
Las Vegas defeated El Paso 6-3 Monday. Albuquerque's win moved the Isotopes to within 4 1/2 games of division-leading El Paso.
Asuaje was 3-for-4 with a walk Monday. Margot was 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Renfroe was 1-for-4 with a sacrifice fly and two RBIs. Left fielder Nick Torres (.327) was 2-for-4.
