A thrilling first week of the 2017 regular season culminates with a full slate of games, marking the first Sunday of the year in which every team is set to take the field.
A number of the game's premier starting pitchers return to the mound for the second time this year to cap off an exciting opening week of the season.

Here's what to watch for throughout the day (all times ET):
Veteran versus young gun: BOS@DET, 1:10 p.m.
Rick Porcello looks to follow up an Opening Day victory over the Pirates in which he allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings with five strikeouts. He will take his talents on the road, where he went 9-3 with a 3.31 ERA last season with three complete games.
The reigning Cy Young Award winner looks to keep rolling against the Tigers and 23-year-old Daniel Norris, who makes his first start in '17. The young left-hander went 4-2 with a 3.38 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) for Detroit in 2016.
A battle of aces: ATL@PIT, 1:35 p.m.
Julio Teheran was marvelous in his Opening Day start, shutting out the Mets over six innings of work with six strikeouts. The 26-year-old had a tough April in '16, going 0-3 with a 4.60 ERA in five starts, but began this season on a high note.
Scheduled to oppose Teheran is Gerrit Cole, who surrendered five runs in five innings in a loss at Boston on Monday. Cole got burned by Andrew Benintendi's three-run homer on Opening Day but will attempt to turn things around against the Braves.

Martinez looking to stay red-hot: CIN@STL, 2:15 p.m.
Carlos Martinez toes the rubber on the heels of an absolute gem a week ago against the defending World Series champion Cubs. The young righty did not allow a run in 7 1/3 innings with no walks and 10 strikeouts.
Martinez has been sensational throughout his first 500 innings since entering the league. The 25-year-old is 34-21 with a 3.28 ERA in 141 games (69 starts) since 2013. He'll oppose veteran right-hander Scott Feldman in the clubs' series finale.

Steady Eddie meets Thor: MIA@NYM, 8 p.m., ESPN
Two aces, both of whom did not allow a run but did not factor in decisions on Opening Day, go head-to-head when Edinson Volquez and Noah Syndergaard meet in the nightcap.
Volquez made a good impression on his new team, allowing no runs in five innings at Nationals Park on Monday. Sunday will be the first time he's faced the Mets since 2016 Opening Day while pitching for the Royals.
Syndergaard dealt with a blister on his pitching hand on Monday, which forced him from his first start of the season after just 86 pitches. He still completed six shutout innings in the Mets' 6-0 win.
Thor was originally scheduled to throw Saturday but had his turn in the rotation pushed back a day to allow more time for his hand to heal.
"Blister's good," Syndergaard said Thursday. "They don't have to amputate it. I'll be ready to go on Sunday."
