The docuseries “Road to the Show,” produced by the Emmy Award-winning MLB Network, reaches its conclusion with its fifth and final episode of Season 1 streaming on Peacock on Sunday, with lifelong dreams being achieved and challenges being met head on.
The five-part series takes viewers through the defining moments that shape baseball's next generation -- capturing the pressure, sacrifice and determination involved in pursuing a Major League dream, while highlighting the families, coaches and teammates who make that journey possible. The series features four MLB prospects and two top college prospects who were selected in the first round of the MLB Draft last month.

We get another look back at Braden Montgomery's epic MLB debut, as he shares his thoughts on his "dream come true" first moment in The Show. The 23-year-old outfielder gets to share a special moment with his mom and loved ones after the game as the reality of it all really begins to sink in. He also joins the crew on MLB Network to discuss the euphoria of it all, his journey to this point and how the MLB Develops program was critical to his development.
The focus then shifts to Draft Day, where Roch Cholowsky and Justin Lebron opt to stay home and spend it with their families and biggest supporters. Cholowsky is watching from Chandler, Ariz., where we get an intimate look at his reaction and that of his group when he is selected No. 1 overall by the White Sox.
Some 2,300 miles southeast, Lebron is with his loved ones in Parkland, Fla., where the celebration erupts when his name is called as the No. 18 overall pick by the Cincinnati Reds.
We then head up I-95 to Philadelphia for the All-Star Futures Game. Gage Wood gets a surprise FaceTime from manager Shane Victorino, and MLB's No. 48 prospect is elated to learn that he will be the starter for the National League squad in the game.
MLB's No. 1 prospect will be behind Wood, as Jesús Made also gets the start at shortstop in the game. It's Made's second straight Futures Game appearance. Both players get to share the experience with their families in attendance.
Back in Scottsdale, Ethan Holliday continues his rehab as his journey suddenly becomes a lonely one. Still, MLB's No. 17 prospect discusses his growth as a person and as a competitor through this adversity and maintains that his focus remains on dominating the things that are within his control.
The Road to The Show is a long one and no two roads are the same. Sometimes a road can lead straight and sometimes a detour becomes a new direction. But every dream comes with demands, years of work, countless sacrifices, unshakable belief and just enough magic to make it a ride. Greatness is earned by refusing to stop.
Each 30-minute episode, narrated by baseball content creator Dan Sarmiento (DSARM), offers an intimate look beyond the box score, chronicling breakthrough performances, setbacks and personal milestones as these rising stars take the next steps in their careers.
The entire series is available for streaming anytime on Peacock. Season 2 will premiere in 2027.
