DENVER -- Rockies pitching coach Steve Foster, bullpen coach Darren Holmes and third-base coach Stu Cole will make expected returns in 2017, the club announced on Tuesday.
Not returning to the coaching staff are hitting coach Blake Doyle, catching and defensive positioning coach Rene Lachemann, bench coach Tom Runnells and baserunning, outfield and first-base coach Eric Young.
The Rockies are seeking a replacement for manager Walt Weiss, who will not return after going 283-365 record, including a 75-87 mark in 2016, over four seasons. They also will be looking to replace the coaches who departed.
Former Padres manager Bud Black confirmed on Tuesday that he is interested in the Rockies' manager job.
