Reynolds 4th in Final Vote; voting ends today

July 6th, 2017

DENVER -- continues to trail in the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote, but received some help from his friendly neighborhood NFL team.
With Reynolds sitting in fourth place of the Final Vote, the NFL's Carolina Panthers gave Reynolds a boost on social media Wednesday afternoon. Rockies manager Bud Black said before Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Reds that Reynolds is neighbors with Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and also friends with former Panthers receiver Steve Smith Sr.
Fans can also show their support for Reynolds by tweeting #BeLikeMark, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. MT on Thursday, any tweet that includes #BeLikeMark will count toward his vote total.

His Rockies teammates are still pulling for him, along with the Panthers.
"He's had such a good year. It's unfortunate, but it happens every year with someone, or several people," said Rockies closer Greg Holland, who was named to his third All-Star Game this year. "I think it's just gonna take the support of the Rockies fans, and hopefully they get on their phones and their computers and get it done."
Reynolds and the Rockies have also entered into a social media alliance of sorts with the Yankees and shortstop Didi Gregorius, who is on the American League ballot. Each NL team has an alliance with an AL team, and they are grouped somewhat thematically. The Rockies-Yankees connection likely stems from Reynolds' short stint in the Bronx.
Tampa Bay and Miami teamed up for an all-Florida vote, with Rays first baseman and Bour both on the ballot. The other alliances are Bryant and Red Sox infielder , Rendon and Rangers infielder and Turner and Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas. Turner and Moustakas lead their respective leagues.
