LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling left his start in Wednesday night’s 3-2 loss to the Angels at Dodger Stadium after five innings with a stiff neck.
Stripling had allowed two runs on three hits, but had also retired 13 of the last 14 batters he faced when JT Chargois was brought in to begin the sixth inning. Stripling had made only 62 pitches.
Stripling was making his sixth start as the replacement in the rotation for Rich Hill, who is out until September with a strained left flexor tendon.
