Gordon could be back with Royals this weekend

NEW YORK -- Manager Ned Yost said that Alex Gordon could return to the Royals' lineup, barring any setbacks, as early as this weekend when the club returns to Kaufmann Stadium to host the Astros.
Gordon, who was involved in an on-field collision with teammate Mike Moustakas on May 22, was placed on the 15-day disabled list a day later with a fractured right wrist. Before the injury, the outfielder was hitting .211 (30-for-142) with four home runs and 10 RBIs.
In two rehab games with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, Gordon has gone 3-for-6 with a double and a home run.
