Moustakas wins AL Final Vote for second time

Moose will join Dodgers' Turner at 2017 All-Star Game on Tuesday

KANSAS CITY -- Royals fans did it again. After electing Mike Moustakas with the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote in 2015, they did so again this year, as the third baseman drew 15.6 million votes to earn a spot in the 2017 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard in Miami on Tuesday, which will be broadcast on FOX at 7:30 p.m. ET. The results of the Final Vote were revealed on Thursday on MLB Network.
Moustakas also will appear in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday at 8 p.m. ET, which will air on ESPN.

Moustakas, who has a team-leading 25 home runs for the Royals, finished ahead of Boston's , New York's Didi Gregorius, Texas' and Tampa Bay's in the American League Final Vote balloting.
"It's such a great honor," Moustakas told MLB Network. "I just want to thank Royals fans."
Moustakas' teammates, who joined forces to support him in the vote, celebrated his victory.

On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET, tune in to the 2017 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard live on FOX, and during the game visit MLB.com to submit your choice for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet via the 2017 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote. The 88th All-Star Game, in Miami, will be televised nationally by FOX, in Canada by Rogers Sportsnet and RDS, and worldwide by partners in more than 160 countries via MLB International's independent feed.
