Royals sign OF Snider to Minor League deal

The Royals and outfielder Travis Snider have agreed to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Major League Spring Training.
Snider, who turns 28 on Tuesday, spent most of the 2015 season with the Orioles, hitting .237 with three home runs and 20 RBIs in 69 games before clearing waivers in August. He finished the season with the Pirates, who traded him to Baltimore before the season.

Snider, a 2006 first-round Draft pick, is a .244/.311/.399 career hitter with 54 home runs and 212 RBIs in eight Major League seasons with the Blue Jays, Pirates and Orioles.
