Thursday's Royals-Yanks game postponed

May 25th, 2017

NEW YORK -- The Yankees' series finale against the Royals on Thursday at Yankee Stadium was postponed due to a continued forecast of inclement weather.
The game has been rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 25. The start time has not been determined.
Right-hander had been scheduled to pitch against Kansas City, but he will instead try to snap his personal slump against the Athletics on Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET. Tanaka has permitted 14 earned runs in his past 4 2/3 innings (27.00 ERA) after going 5-0 with a 2.78 ERA in his previous five outings.
Sept. 25 had been an off-day for the Yankees between a Sept. 22-24 trip to Toronto and New York's final homestand of the season, when the Yanks will host the Rays (Sept. 26-28) and Blue Jays (Sept. 29-Oct. 1).
Fans holding paid tickets for Thursday's postponed game may use them for the rescheduled game on Sept. 25, or they may exchange their paid tickets for any regular-season game at Yankee Stadium within 12 months of Thursday's postponed game (subject to availability).
