Ryan Schimpf drove in five runs with two homers and Alex Dickerson extended his hitting streak to 28 games Monday as Triple-A El Paso completed a 6-2 road trip with a 12-0 win at Omaha behind right-handed starter Carlos Pimental and two relievers.
Left fielder Edwin Moreno also had a five-RBI day, including a grand slam, as Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore topped Stockton 10-5 at The Diamond.
Third baseman Schimpf (.303) was 2-for-5 with his eighth and ninth homers as the Pacific Coast League Pacific South Division-leading Chihuahuas improved to 28-22. Left fielder Dickerson was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. He leads the PCL in hitting with a .413 average. He is 27-for-55 since returning to El Paso on May 14 on option from the Padres. His 28-game streak is the longest active streak in professional baseball.
Center fielder Manuel Margot (.289) was 3-for-4 for El Paso with a RBI, a run scored, a double, a walk and his 16th stolen base. Designated hitter Hunter Renfroe (.316) was 2-for-5 with a double, a RBI and a run scored.
Pimental (4-3, 6.88 ERA) allowed four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in six scoreless innings. Left-hander Daniel Moskos (2.25 ERA) allowed three hits in 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Right-hander Aaron Northcraft (4.68) struck out two in 1 2/3 perfect innings.
At Lake Elsinore, Moreno (.265) hit a grand slam in the first and finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored in addition to the five RBIs. Shortstop Luis Urias (.328) was 4-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Center fielder Franchy Cordero (.282) was 3-for-5 with a triple, a RBI and three runs scored. First baseman Trae Santos (.208) had two doubles in four at-bats with two RBIs.
Right-handed starter Dinelson Lamet (7-1, 2.14 ERA) allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings to get his California League-leading seventh win.
There was one move in the organization Monday. Outfielder Mason Smith was transferred from Class A Fort Wayne to Double-A San Antonio. Infielder Peter Van Gansen was activated from Fort Wayne's seven-day disabled list.
