MINNEAPOLIS -- Sam Antonacci had four hits and an RBI and Erick Fedde threw 4 2/3 hitless innings to pick up his first win since Aug. 9, 2025, as the White Sox avoided a three-game sweep on Wednesday by beating the Twins, 8-0, at Target Field.
Antonacci actually reached base six times on the day. He singled in the first and second innings and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings, raising his average from its pregame mark of .272 to .291 on the season. He also walked in the fourth and was hit by a pitch in the ninth, raising his on-base percentage from .361 to .383.
Twins starter Taj Bradley (5-2) came into the game with a 5.40 ERA in the first inning this year, and the White Sox added to that with a four-run flurry to start the game. Antonacci singled, Miguel Vargas walked and Andrew Benintendi singled to load the bases with nobody out.
After Colson Montgomery struck out, Chase Meidroth walked to drive in the game’s first run. Jacob Gonzalez followed with a two-run single for his first career RBIs and a 3-0 lead. A fourth run scored when Tristan Peters reached on a forceout.
The White Sox generated traffic on the bases in every inning against Bradley but couldn’t cash in again. But they started another rally in the sixth thanks to Rikuu Nishida’s speed.
Nishida led off against reliever Eric Orze with a ground ball to shortstop Tristan Gray, who bobbled it as he rushed to make the play. Gray then threw it away for a second error on the play. Nishida scored on Antonacci’s double to make it 5-0.
Meanwhile, Fedde (1-5) was cruising through the Twins’ lineup, retiring the first 11 batters he faced before walking Trevor Larnach with two outs in the fourth. Luke Keaschall broke up the no-hitter with a fifth-inning single.
Fedde gave up two hits and walked one while striking out two in five innings.
Antonacci led off the eighth with his fourth hit and scored from second on a Vargas single. Benintendi then hit a two-run homer to make it 8-0.
