Ohtani (HBP on right hand) and Kiké (left oblique strain) exit game early

LOS ANGELES -- A fourth inning that saw the Dodgers stack four runs on the Rockies came with some unfortunate side effects, as both and were removed from Tuesday night's game afterward.

Ohtani was hit on the right hand with an 85.2 mph changeup from Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. Ohtani didn't look overly bothered and initially stayed in the game after being checked on by a trainer, but Dalton Rushing pinch-hit for him in the fifth inning.

The Dodgers did not immediately announce a reason for Ohtani's exit, but he was hit on his pitching hand and is the scheduled starter for Wednesday's finale. L.A. also led 10-1 at the time of Ohtani's departure.

Hernández, who had homered earlier in the game, hit a double in the fourth inning and looked uncomfortable while running the bases. He was replaced on defense in the fifth, and the Dodgers announced that he exited the game due to a left oblique strain.

It was just Hernández's second game back after a season-opening stint on the 60-day injured list due to recovery from left elbow surgery in the offseason.
