DENVER -- took sole possession of third place on the Dodgers’ longest on-base streak leaderboard (since 1900) with a third-inning RBI double to right off Rockies starter Michael Lorenzen on Sunday. Ohtani started the game tied with “Wee” Willie Keeler and extended his streak past Keeler’s to 51 games.

Ohtani has reached base every time he’s been in the lineup since August 24, 2025, and he now sits two games out of second, with his sights set on Shawn Green, who reached base in 53 consecutive games in 2000.

The Dodgers’ record since 1900 belongs to Duke Snider, who posted a 58-game on-base streak in 1954. Ron Cey rounds out the top five with a 47-game streak compiled from 1975-76.

Ohtani’s 51-game streak is also the fourth-longest in MLB over the past 20 years. He’s one game behind Kevin Millar and Shin-Soo Choo, who each reached safely in 52 straight games in 2007 and 2018, respectively. Orlando Cabrera has the longest on-base stretch in MLB since 2005, posting a 63-game streak in 2006. The overall MLB record since at least 1900 is Ted Williams’ 84-game on-base streak in 1949.
