Piscotty day to day with left wrist contusion

Outfielder hit by McCullers pitch in Houston

HOUSTON -- A's outfielder exited Wednesday night's 8-3 win in Houston in the middle of the fifth inning after taking a pitch off his left wrist. He was diagnosed with a contusion and is considered day to day after X-rays showed no break.
Piscotty, nailed by Astros starter , took his base to open the fifth and was tagged out at home plate while attempting to score on a single, but he was missing from right field in the bottom half of the frame.
Pinder, who began the game in left field, took Piscotty's place in right, with shifting from first base to left and entering the game at first.
Piscotty finished 1-for-2 with a single after homering in each of his previous four games.
