Guardians left fielder 's diving catch into the stands in Friday night's game against the Mariners earned him the Electric Play of the Week Award presented by Chevrolet on Monday.

With an elite sprint speed of 28.4 feet per second, according to Statcast, Kwan covered 99 feet to catch Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh's fly ball down the left-field line as he soared into the stands, evoking memories of Derek Jeter's all-out dive vs. the Red Sox in 2004.

“He's fearless,” Cleveland manager Terry Francona said. “He's all the things we talk about. That's why we talk about him.”

Even the opposition was mightily impressed by Kwan's effort.

“That's about as good a play you're ever going to see from an outfielder going into the stands,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said. “Pretty, pretty awesome play by him.”
