Texas Rangers urge fans to elect Andrus on final day of voting

With the 2017 MLB All-Star Game Final Vote counting down to today's 3:00 p.m. CT deadline, the Rangers are encouraging fans to elect shortstop Elvis Andrus to the American League All-Star Team.

With the 2017 MLB All-Star Game Final Vote counting down to today's 3:00 p.m. CT deadline, the Rangers are encouraging fans to elect shortstop Elvis Andrus to the American League All-Star Team. 
For the sixth consecutive year, the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote includes social balloting on the final day as Twitter support using the #ElectElvis hashtag over the voting's last six hours from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. CT will be tabulated as part of Andrus' official vote total used to determine the American League winner.
Fans may vote via Twitter an unlimited number of times, and the Rangers will hold sweepstakes during each hour of Thursday's social voting. Fans who retweet the #ElectElvis hashtag will have the opportunity to win the following prizes:
9:00 a.m. - Autographed baseballs by Carlos Gomez and Jonathan Lucroy
10:00 a.m. - #ElectElvis player t-shirts
11:00 a.m. - Autographed baseball by Rougned Odor
12:00 noon - Lunch break with Elvis - Tickets to a future Rangers' game
1:00 p.m. - Elvis Andrus Bobbleheads
2:00 p.m. - Autographed baseballs by Mike Napoli and Michael Young
2:45 p.m. - Tickets to a future Rangers; game and watch batting practice on the field
In addition, on-line fan balloting via the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote can be done on texasrangers.com, mlb.com, and mobile devices until Thursday at 3:00 p.m. CT. Fans can also vote for Andrus via text message up to 35 times per phone until the 3:00 p.m. Thursday deadline on July 6. To vote for Andrus, text A1 to 89269.  Message and data rates may apply. 
The Rangers also have a ticket special for the Sunday, July 9 game with the Los Angeles Angels as well as a sweepstakes scheduled as part of the club's Final Vote campaign for Andrus. Full details can be found at texasrangers.com/vote.
The Rangers are partnering with the Washington Nationals and N.L. Final Vote candidate Anthony Rendon (#VoteRendon and Text to N3) in the 2017 MLB All-Star Gate Final Vote effort. 
Andrus is batting .301 with 11 homers and 50 RBI in 82 games in 2017. He is among the A.L. leaders in stolen bases (2nd, 20), multi-hit games (T3rd, 30), hits (4th, 100), and average (12th). Andrus has been selected as a reserve on A.L. All-Star teams in 2010 and 2012.
