The Tigers had hoped left-hander was nearing a return to the rotation.
However, the 24-year-old lefty was unable to complete the opening frame during his second rehab start with Triple-A Toledo. Norris exited the game with an apparent injury after throwing 32 pitches, according to a tweet by Nate Rowan, who works in the public relations department for the Twins' Triple-A affiliate in Rochester.

Norris was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain on July 6 and began his rehab assignment July 18. He was expected to throw closer to 90 pitches Sunday. This season, Norris is 4-7 with a 5.29 ERA in 16 starts for the Tigers.
