Despite being activated, however, Iglesias was not able to rejoin the team in Toronto as he deals with the impact of Hurricane Irma.
"He's stuck in Florida," manager Brad Ausmus said after Saturday's game, "so we don't know when we're going to see him at this point."
With Iglesias not in the Tigers' starting lineup on Saturday, Dixon Machado started again at shortstop. In Friday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, Machado went 1-for-3 with a double and scored on Nicholas Castellanos' grand slam. Machado also went 1-for 3 on Saturday.
In 115 games this season, the 27-year-old Iglesias is hitting .268 with six home runs and 52 RBIs.
Mahtook a late scratch
Left fielder Mikie Mahtook was scratched from Saturday's game an hour before first pitch with left groin soreness. Andrew Romine was moved into the lineup in left to replace him.
"[Mahtook is] day to day," Ausmus said after the game. "I wouldn't expect him tomorrow."
Mahtook started Friday's series opener in center field and moved over to right field when Castellanos was removed for a defensive replacement.
