Iglesias activated from paternity list

TORONTO -- The Tigers activated shortstop from the paternity list prior to Saturday's 5-4 loss against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
Iglesias left the team earlier in the week to be with his wife as she gave birth to their child. The boy, named Alvaro Jose, was born on Wednesday and is Iglesias' second son.
Despite being activated, however, Iglesias was not able to rejoin the team in Toronto as he deals with the impact of Hurricane Irma.
"He's stuck in Florida," manager Brad Ausmus said after Saturday's game, "so we don't know when we're going to see him at this point."
With Iglesias not in the Tigers' starting lineup on Saturday, started again at shortstop. In Friday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, Machado went 1-for-3 with a double and scored on ' grand slam. Machado also went 1-for 3 on Saturday.
In 115 games this season, the 27-year-old Iglesias is hitting .268 with six home runs and 52 RBIs.
Mahtook a late scratch
Left fielder was scratched from Saturday's game an hour before first pitch with left groin soreness. was moved into the lineup in left to replace him.
"[Mahtook is] day to day," Ausmus said after the game. "I wouldn't expect him tomorrow."
Mahtook started Friday's series opener in center field and moved over to right field when Castellanos was removed for a defensive replacement.
