MINNEAPOLIS -- The Tigers don't know who will start the finale of their road trip on Thursday in Cleveland, but the team is keeping rookie Michael Fulmer on schedule to make the start if needed.
Fulmer, the No. 1 prospect in the organization and the No. 50 prospect in the game, according to MLBPipeline.com, made his Major League debut on Friday at Target Field. The hard-throwing right-hander earned the victory with a five-inning performance in which he allowed two runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.
Fulmer was filling in for Shane Greene, who went on the 15-day disabled list with a blister on his right middle finger. Justin Verlander and Anibal Sanchez will start the first two games of the series against the Indians, which begins Tuesday at 6:10 p.m. ET.

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus will discuss who will start Thursday during the off-day on Monday.
"It has not been decided," Ausmus said before Sunday's series finale in Minnesota. "We're going to have him prepare, like he'll throw his bullpen today as if he were to start."
Ausmus said one factor could be the Indians' lineup, which can be stacked with left-handed hitters and switch-hitters.
Fulmer was acquired by Detroit last season in the trade that sent outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to the Mets. Fulmer was 1-1 with a 4.11 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings at Triple-A this year.
