DETROIT -- The blue on the Tigers and Rays caps was a little brighter than usual Saturday as Detroit manager Brad Ausmus' cap sat on the desk in his office.
The blue numbering on the Tigers' and Rays' jerseys had a similar shift. It was for a good cause: prostate cancer awareness on Father's Day Weekend. The Tigers will wear the caps and jerseys on Saturday and Sunday.

"Makes a little bit more sense than just wearing them for one day, to make all these uniforms and hats for one day," Ausmus said.
The jerseys include the symbolic blue ribbon representing Major League Baseball's effort to raise money and awareness to fight prostate cancer. The caps and jerseys will also be on sale, with royalty payments donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Stand Up To Cancer.
"Any kind of special jersey day I always take advantage of it," Rays second baseman Daniel Robertson said. "Memorial Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day. Obviously I'm decked out in pink, camo, blue with the cleats they send out."
The Rays already have a light-blue color in their everyday jerseys, but their special gear has a slightly different shade and it's much more prominently featured. Players had the option of blue wristbands, socks and shoes to complement their hats and jerseys.
In addition, fans have a chance to take part in the Prostate Cancer Foundation's Home Run Challenge by offering a one-time monetary donation, or pledging for every home run hit by the Tigers from June 1-18. More than $3 million has been pledged as of Thursday, with every dollar going to PCF to fund critical research.
