DETROIT - The Tigers return to Comerica Park for a seven-game homestand beginning Friday, September 9 through Thursday, September 15 as they host the Baltimore Orioles September 9-11 and the Minnesota Twins September 12-15. The Tigers first two games against the Orioles, Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 are slated for 7:10 p.m. with Sunday's series finale scheduled to begin at 1:10 p.m. The Tigers close out the homestand with a four-game series against the Twins, Monday, September 12 through Thursday, September 15. The first three games against the Twins on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are scheduled for 7:10 p.m. with the series finale on Thursday, September 15 starting at 1:10 p.m.

·   Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Raffle: The Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Charity Raffle continues at Comerica Park this season at all Friday and Saturday home games. The partner charity for this weekend's 50/50 raffle is South Oakland Shelter whose mission is to end homelessness by mobilizing interfaith and community resources. Tickets will be sold on a digital platform and are three for $5, 10 for $10 and 40 for $20. The winner will be announced on the Comerica Park scoreboard before the end of the game. The 50/50 Charity Raffle program has raised more than $1.3 million for charity.
·   The ceremonial first pitches will be thrown by Aidyn Sharrow of Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation and Pietro Pellerito of St. Baldricks, representing Pediatric Cancer Awareness Night.
·   The national anthem will be performed by the Grosse Pointe Theater.
·   Prior to Friday's game, fans will receive a Detroit Tigers Grand Slam Coupon Book as they enter Comerica Park.

·   Star Wars™ Night: The force is strong with the Tigers as they celebrate Star Wars™ Night at Comerica Park. More than 40 Star Wars™ characters will greet and take photos with fans along the concourse as well as participate in a pregame Star Wars™ themed parade. 
·   Verlander's Victory for Veterans: This season, for each Saturday home game, Justin Verlander hosts Veterans from Veterans Affairs Medical Centers throughout the state of Michigan. These Veterans sustained injuries or illness in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom or in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The Veterans along with their families cheer on the Tigers from the comfort of Verlander's personal luxury suite. After serving our country, the special day provides American veterans the opportunity to enjoy a Tigers game with their family. Veterans from the Saginaw Veterans Affairs Medical Center will share luxury suite tickets and parking passes in the Tigers Parking Garage. Sunday, September 11 vs. Baltimore Orioles at 1:10 p.m. Gates Open at 11:30 a.m.
·   First Responders Recognition Day: The Tigers, in partnership with BELFOR Property Restoration, will celebrate the men and women of local fire and police departments and their dedication to our community through public service, while also honoring the men and women who lost their lives during the attacks on 9-11 and local first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Select firefighters and police officers will be invited on field to be recognized for their service to our local communities prior to the national anthem. 
·   The national anthem will be performed by Aaron Pressel, a firefighter from the West Bloomfield Fire Department, prior to Sunday's game. During the anthem, the Dearborn Fire and Police Departments will provide a joint services honor guard to present the colors and a 300-foot American flag will be unfurled on-field; held by 150 volunteers from the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau.
·   All kids 14-and-under will receive a Justin Upton Hat, presented by Meijer. 
·   All Sunday home games are Chevy Youth Baseball Sunday Kids Days at Comerica Park. All kids 14-and-under will receive a free promotional item as part of the "Every Kid, Every Sunday" giveaway guarantee, enjoy free rides courtesy of Kroger on the Comerica Bank Carousel or the Fly Ball Ferris Wheel, take part in free face painting and hang out with the Tigers Party Patrol at the Big Cat Court. Monday, September 12 vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.
·   Roberto Clemente Day Nominee Ceremony: Prior to Monday's game, the Tigers are going to recognize their 2016 Roberto Clemente Nominee, Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera is widely considered one of the best hitters in the game of baseball. The 2012 Triple Crown Winner and two-time American League Most Valuable Player is also one of the game's most caring and giving individuals. Cabrera's realization of his dream in becoming an accomplished baseball player inspired him and his wife Rosangel to establish the Miguel Cabrera Foundation based on his belief that great things happen when you: WORK HARD, DREAM BIG AND HELP OTHERS. In addition to donating $100,000 to medical relief for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, Cabrera provided money to launch the Tigers Play Baseball Detroit initiative which has served over 115,046 children since 2008. Cabrera also hosts "Keeping Kids in the Game," the Detroit Tigers Foundation's annual fundraiser to benefit children's health and youth baseball. The event has raised over $1.8 million since 2009. ·   Roberto Clemente Seat 21 Ceremony: To expand Roberto Clemente Day and celebrate his enduring legacy, Major League Baseball has established SEAT 21. SEAT 21 is dedicated to recognizing, on Clemente Day, an individual from the community who embodies the humanitarian spirit of Roberto Clemente. The 2016 SEAT 21 award winner is Anthony Benavides. Benavides was a founding member and currently serves as the Director of the Clark Park Coalition, a nonprofit organization providing recreational, educational, and social skills programming to youth and families in Clark Park located in southwest Detroit. Under Mr. Benavides' leadership, Clark Park has become a year-round hub of recreation and youth development serving over 1,200 youth annually through baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, ice hockey, ice skating, and lacrosse as well as educational, arts, and youth employment programs.
·   Oakland University Night: The Detroit Tigers along with FOX Sports Detroit and AMP Radio will host the fifth installment of their University Days series at Comerica Park. All fans who purchased the Oakland University package will receive a co-branded Detroit Tigers and Oakland University baseball hat and a donation will be made to the Oakland University Alumni Association Student Scholarship Fund.
·   Mario Impemba's MVP: FOX Sports Detroit broadcaster Mario Impemba continues to thank the men and women of the United States Armed Forces with the Military Veterans Program (MVP) -- Mario Impemba's salute to those who served. Through the program, Mario invites those who served and the families impacted by the service of a loved one in support of our nation to attend the first Monday home game of each month at Comerica Park.
