CHICAGO -- Before the 2016 season is complete, shortstop Tim Anderson and right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer have a solid chance at making significant contributions at the Major League level.
That big league process begins on Feb. 19 at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz., with the White Sox top two prospects per MLB.com among the 20 who received non-roster invites to Spring Training as announced by the team on Tuesday. Anderson, 22, hit .312 with five homers, 46 RBIs, 21 doubles, 12 triples, 79 runs scored and 49 stolen bases for Double-A Birmingham in 2015. He'll battle with Tyler Saladino, his Spring Training roommate from last year, for the open shortstop job.
Fulmer, 22 and the team's top pick in the 2015 Draft, figures to start the season in the Minors. The eighth overall selection posted a 1.96 ERA in nine games after he signed with the White Sox.

Joining Anderson (No. 1) and Fulmer (No. 2) from the White Sox Top 30 Prospects list are right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish (No. 5), outfielder Courtney Hawkins (No. 7), outfielder Jacob May (No. 8), left-handed hurler Jordan Guerrero (No. 9), outfielder Adam Engel (No. 14) and outfielder Jason Coats (No. 17). Hawkins, 22, made his presence felt last year at Spring Training by leading the team with four home runs and driving in 10 runs over 19 games. But the right-handed hitter battled injuries in posting a .243 average over 78 games for Birmingham.
Engel, 24, swiped 65 bases for Class A Winston-Salem in '15. He followed up that effort with a Most Valuable Player performance in the Arizona Fall League, hitting .403 with 10 stolen bases for Glendale. Coats, 25, finished third in the International League with 81 RBIs for Triple-A Charlotte, marking his third straight 80-plus RBI season.
Right-handed pitcher Peter Tago, left-hander Will Lamb and catcher Omar Narvaez round out the 11 players with non-roster invites from within the organization. The White Sox also agreed to terms on Minor League contracts with nine free agents: right-handed pitchers Phillippe Aumont, Colin Kleven, Matt Lollis and Josh Wall; left-handed pitchers Matt Purke and Nik Turley; catcher Hector Sanchez; and infielders Steve Lombardozzi and Andy Parrino.
Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Feb. 19, including physicals and a workout. Position players will report and undergo physicals on Feb. 23. The first full-squad workout also will take place on Feb. 23, with the Cactus League opener set for March 3 against the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch.
