Tommy Lasorda's condition improving

LOS ANGELES -- Former Dodgers Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda’s condition has improved, team spokesman Steve Brener said on Tuesday.

Lasorda, 93, has been hospitalized in intensive care for two weeks. But Brener said Lasorda has felt well enough in the last two days to conduct FaceTime calls with former player Steve Sax, former general manager Fred Claire and former third-base coach Joe Amalfitano.

The club confirmed on Nov. 15 that Lasorda was in intensive care but resting comfortably in an Orange County hospital. He is no longer on a ventilator, Brener said.
