Rays: Brendan McKay, LHP/DH (No. 3, MLB No. 28) -- 4 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 7 K (Double-A Montgomery)
The two-way standout was sharp in a no-decision, tossing four innings of one-run ball in the Biscuits’ win over Mobile. He struck out the side in order in the second and did it once again in the fourth, albeit while allowing a run on two hits and a walk. While he’s yet to complete five innings in a start, McKay has been very tough to hit, permitting five knocks and racking up 18 strikeouts in 8 2/3 frames.

Red Sox: Kutter Crawford, RHP (No. 20) -- 5 2/3 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 8 K (Class A Adv Salem)

Altogether, Crawford has posted 20 strikeouts against six walks over his first 13 2/3 innings.

The 19-year-old Freeman extended his hitting streak to six games with his second three-hit performance in three games out of the leadoff spot for the Captains. The 21-year-old has had 10 of his 23 hits go for extra bases in those contests, during which he’s also tallied 15 runs and 16 RBIs. And with five home runs and steals apiece, he’s a quarter of the way to a 20-homer, 20-steal campaign -- something only six Minor League players achieved in 2018.
White Sox prospects stats »

Tigers: Jake Rogers, C (No. 13) -- 2-for-3, 2 HR (2), 3 RBI, 3 R, BB (Double-A Erie)
