Coverage

Condon, the 13th-ranked Draft prospect by MLB Pipeline, has gained a reputation as a lefty hitter with an excellent eye, strong bat-to-ball skills and elite sprint speed -- a combination that has drawn comparisons to Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Though he hits the ball hard (exit velocities have topped 100 mph), the 18-year-old has struggled to pull it in the air consistently, which limits his slugging numbers. But scouts believe he has the ability to generate average power as a pro. Condon has good bat speed and can hit to all fields, despite what scouts say is an unconventional swing with an upright barrel.

A Tennessee commit, Condon was named the Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year this season after he hit .504 with nine homers, 42 RBIs and 15 stolen bases for Etowah High School in the 36 games leading up to the selection.

Condon, who is not related to 2024 No. 3 overall pick Charlie Condon, gets the most out of his double-plus speed, creating opportunities on the bases and covering lots of ground in center field, where he also has a solid throwing arm and figures to stick as a pro.

Scouts believe he could have the best combination of hitting skills and speed of anyone in the 2026 high school Draft class.
