ARLINGTON -- In each of the past two contests at Globe Life Field, Twins leadoff man Trevor Larnach has seized the game’s momentum in less time than it takes to sing the national anthem. After a leadoff homer in Tuesday’s victory, Larnach smacked a single to right-center field on the game’s first pitch Thursday to seal a 9-3 win over the Rangers, giving the Twins a three-game sweep and pushing their winning streak to four.
Larnach never let up in either of the final two games of the series. After a 4-for-6 night Tuesday, he went 3-for-5 in the finale, adding three insurance runs with a two-run homer in the fourth inning and an RBI single in the sixth.
Larnach and the Twins are mighty comfortable at Globe Life Field. The club is 14-5 all-time in MLB’s newest stadium, and Larnach is batting .425 (17-for-40) in 10 games there.
Brooks Lee also feasted in Texas, ripping a three-run homer in the first inning Thursday after a 2-for-5 performance Tuesday.
Staked with a four-run lead before he threw a pitch, Twins righty Joe Ryan tossed five scoreless innings to earn his fifth win of 2026. He struck out seven, walked two and scattered three hits, all singles.
