There's a full slate of games, and then some, in the big leagues today. A double dose of baseball is being provided on Father's Day weekend by the Indians and Twins, who meet at Target Field to compensate for a postponed game April 17. The weather and the rivalry between the AL Central's top two clubs have heated up since then, with the Tribe hoping to gain ground on the Twins, who've climbed from cellar to ceiling in the division this year.
Both teams will reach for reinforcements from Triple-A for the doubleheader, with the Twins recalling lefty Adam Wilk to make one start, and Adalberto Mejia will make the other. The Indians will start Ryan Merritt, who'll make his 2017 debut for the Tribe, and Mike Clevinger.

Fulmer takes the field: TB@DET, 4:10 p.m.
The Tigers cross their fingers as Michael Fulmer, the 2016 American League Rookie of the Year, returns to the hill for the first time since June 8. Detroit opted to skip Fulmer in the rotation Wednesday after an MRI revealed shoulder bursitis. But after an extra five days of rest and a cortisone shot, Fulmer hopes to return to early-season form against Chris Archer (4-4 record, 3.80 ERA) and the Rays.

Battle of the bats? BOS@HOU, 8:15 p.m.
The Astros and Red Sox provide prime entertainment for your Father's Day weekend, as two of baseball's most potent lineups meet for the second of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.
And it could be a battle of the bats, with both teams' starters mired in slumps. The Red Sox's Rick Porcello has had trouble following up his Cy Young Award-winning 2016 campaign and currently leads the Majors in hits allowed (116). In his last outing vs. the Phillies, he allowed five runs on 10 hits in six innings. The Astros' David Paulino, who has been starting in the absence of Dallas Keuchel, Collin McHugh and Charlie Morton, hasn't fared any better, giving up 10 earned runs on 19 hits in three starts.

Mets try to shake off injuries: WAS@NYM, 4:10 p.m.
The Mets are hoping for a solid showing from Seth Lugo in his second start of the year. Lugo was placed on the disabled list on Opening Day due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing arm, and only Tuesday made his season debut. But if his seven-inning, one-run outing is any indication, Lugo will be just fine -- and the Mets need that with Matt Harvey and Juan Lagares joining Noah Syndergaard, Neil Walker and David Wright on the disabled list Friday.
And then there's the guy the Mets' offense is up against: Stephen Strasburg, who has allowed three or fewer runs in 11 of his 13 starts this year. Strasburg will also be looking for redemption after yielding six runs on seven hits in five innings Monday against the Braves.
